About the condition and pricing of the books
Pricing of the books in The Company Town General Store is based on internet searches yielding high and low values with consideration given to the described condition of other sellers books. We generally set our price midway between the high and low values in deference to the condition of the book. Higher prices generally reflect scarcity, or literary recognition as an important work. We might also note that a higher price may also reflect an attachment to the book and ambivalence towards its sale, as we are not discarding the entire library.
